One of the largest
load tests ever
Hendrik Veder Group successfully carried out one of the largest load tests ever (737 ton) with water filled proof load bags on the Zaratan at Shipdock Amsterdam. The test on a spreader beam has been carried out using four waterbags of 100 ton, four of 50 ton and four of 35 ton, and two load cell shackles of 400 ton. Including build-up and dismantling, the load test has taken no longer than 10 hours.
The Zaratan, one of Seajacks self-propelled jack-up platforms, is preparing for the installation of 80 monopiles, transition pieces and wind turbine generators on the Meerwind offshore wind farm (located in Germany).
Seajacks' Zaratan is equipped with an 800 ton leg-encircling crane, accommodation for 90 people and is fully compliant with all North Sea regulatory requirements.
